Manasi Chaudhari: Empowering Women Through Legal Innovation and Entrepreneurship
In today’s India, where legal
knowledge can often feel inaccessible, especially for women, Manasi Chaudhari
emerges as a beacon of change. As the founder and CEO of Pink Legal,
India’s first digital platform dedicated exclusively to educating women about their
legal rights, Manasi is reshaping how women engage with the law — making it
approachable, actionable, and empowering.
From Passionate Lawyer to Social Entrepreneur:
Manasi’s journey began with a deep-rooted passion for law and justice. A top graduate from Jindal Global Law School, she further honed her expertise by assisting Justice D.Y. Chandrachud at the Supreme Court of India on landmark cases including the decriminalization of homosexuality (Section 377), Aadhaar privacy issues, and the Sabarimala temple case. These experiences ignited her commitment to gender equality and human rights.
Her early career spanned diverse
roles — from corporate legal counsel to founding her own boutique law firm
specializing in entertainment, intellectual property, startups, and real estate.
In 2025, she became a partner at Numen Law Offices, balancing her
corporate legal practice with her social mission.
The Birth of Pink Legal: Bridging the Legal Knowledge Gap:
The idea for Pink Legal was
sparked by a personal incident. After a minor car accident, Manasi faced
aggressive behavior but realized many women would not know their legal rights
or how to assert them. She envisioned a platform that could demystify legal
jargon and empower women to protect themselves confidently.
Launched on International Women’s
Day 2020, Pink Legal offers clear, accessible information on issues
like sexual harassment, domestic violence, cyberbullying, marriage, divorce,
and filing police complaints. Beyond information, it runs Nyay’ri, a pro
bono helpline providing free legal and mental health support, breaking
financial and informational barriers that many women face.
Impact, Recognition, and Vision:
Pink Legal quickly gained
recognition from the United Nations (UN Women) and earned Manasi the Legal
Entrepreneur of the Year 2020 award by Business World India, along with
the Digital Women Award from Google and SheThePeople TV.
Manasi’s vision extends beyond
India — she aims to build a global movement that empowers women through legal
literacy and support, fostering a world where every woman knows her rights and
can act on them.
Why Manasi Chaudhari’s Story Matters:
Manasi Chaudhari exemplifies how
legal expertise combined with entrepreneurial spirit can create profound social
impact. Her work is a reminder that law isn’t just for courts and lawyers —
it’s a tool for everyday empowerment, especially for marginalized groups.
If you’re passionate about
women’s rights, legal innovation, or social entrepreneurship, Manasi’s journey
offers inspiration and a blueprint for change.
